Crimes of the Heart
by Beth Henley
Directed by Garnet Colborne
Performances: December 4 — 8
The scene is Mississippi in 1974, five years after Hurricane Camille. The Magrath sisters — Lenny, Meg and Babe, are back home in order to deal with the current round of family crises — a grandparent in a coma, an attempted murder, a failed singing career, and a horse struck by lightning. This is a play of love and pain and hope and irony— wrapped in genuinely funny dialogue and darkly hilarious circumstances.
