The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard is the story of two theatre critics called Moon and Birdboot who are watching a murder mystery play set in the 1930Ős in an English country house. By accident, the two critics become involved in the action on-stage, causing a series of events that parallel the play they are watching. The Real Inspector Hound is a "play-within-a-play". It is an example of the dramatic style of absurdism.
