Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun
by Norm Foster
Directed by Dennis Beerling
Performances: October 16 — 20
When Robert Castle was born, his grandmother gave him a needle point wall hanging that said, “Before this glorious life is done, I shall kiss the moon and kiss the sun.” It’s about trying to get the most out of life. However, Robert and his mother have a different meaning for it. Mother is the moon who watches over him at night, and Robert is the sun who brightens up her day. A thirty-five year old man with the mental capacity of a seven year old meets a pregnant young woman in crisis and the two form a lasting friendship. This is a story about people finding the nerve to take responsibility and about persevering against the odds. It’s a heart-warming story with its share of humorous moments.
