Policy for "Donations-in-Kind"
Whilst we deeply appreciate the generosity of our contributors, the physical limits on our storage space plus rising costs related to our studio garbage removal, dry cleaning, and laundry, have necessitated changes to our "Donations-in-Kind" policy.
Used clothing must now be in good repair and cleaned since it was last worn; and we are no longer able to accept items of any type whatsoever that are just "dropped off" without a prior arrangement being made with one of our studio supervisors. To make a pick-up or drop-off arrangement, or to check if any items are actually needed, you may send an email message to the Gateway Secretary - or call one of the following:
For theatrical "set" items such as home and office furniture, rugs and carpets, tools, appliances, electronics, latex paints, artificial plants, luggage, and larger "set decor" items such as pictures and lamps, etc call Al at 477-2680.
For properties such as clothing, hats, jewellery and other accessories, uniforms, wigs, cushions and curtains, hobby, games and sporting equipment, and any smaller household and office properties such as kitchen utensils, china, table linens, sewing/embroidery notions, office supplies, telephones etc, call Diane at 343-7886.
We no longer accept damaged or dirty clothing, partially sewn garments, wire coat hangers, used "wall-to-wall" carpeting, new or partially used oil paint, or used cosmetics in any form.
